What are the intense emotional challenges facing the entrepreneur when launching a company? From the beginning to the end of a venture, the entrepreneur must deal with emotions that he may not be prepared for. The speaker, Mr. Ken Kay will talk about:
• Entrepreneurial personalities
• Self delusion vs. startup realities
• Are you Odysseus?
• How do you handle failure?
• What if you succeed?
Mr. Ken Kay is a serial entrepreneur with multiple successful startups under his belt – including, icihere.com, Ebudgets.com (first software company to offer browser-based budgeting and financial reporting for corporations, later sold to Microsoft). Kay is also a founder and past chairman of Jumpstart NJ Angel Network. As chairman, Kay collaborated with Princeton University to establish a variety of programs to support technological innovation at the university. Events such as the Princeton – Jumpstart Lecture Series on Technology Entrepreneurship and the Princeton Innovation Forum bring the business and university community together. Kay is now an avid angel investor.
