The Problem: at any time im play games, the gpu intake spikes at arbitrarily times to 100% also when the usage prior to that was choose 30% and also then the game crashes. It\"s just with some games and its not consistent, sometimes a video game works for hours sometimes ns cant even start it correctly or change settings etc. Benchmarks occupational fine. Sometimes an error article shows up saying the graphic driver has crashed.

You are watching: Gpu usage spikes to 100 then crashes

Tried solutions: Driver/ home windows updates, fresh install the both v ddu, permitting disabling g sync, using only one monitor, using reduced settings, underclocking, tension test through benchmark to see if the psu is the problem.

Go come your an equipment manager screen, click the \"view\" tab in ~ the top and click \"hidden devices\". Does it show something ghosted or greyed the end under \"display adapters\" as presented below? If so, try uninstalling it and then restart her computer, watch if that works.

So its one of two people a faulty GPU, bad ram, or a problem with other programs running in the background. Certain anti virus program can reason it suspect you room using noþeles besides home windows Defender. If its poor ram, you can test every stick individually through the app below. It could even it is in the latest driver leading to it, and also you could have come revert to an previously version.

Ok, hope it works. In the future though, I would refrain from utilizing DDU to settle potential driver issues. I have yet to watch it actually any kind of solve problems, and also if anything, it could be exacerbating the problem. I have actually reservations that trusting 3rd party applications that directly tampers v the registry to that extent. Over there ain\"t no telling what its fucking with. I\"d simply use device manager to uninstall left over motorists instead.
